Jasper
Dear, dear Jasper. Such an incredibly bright light for far too short a time.
Jasper belonged to my dear friend, Julie, in Virginia; actually, Julie belonged to Jasper. She was one of my dear dog friends, and she and Buttercup loved each other. She died at two years old; suddenly. She had the best medical help but they couldn’t save her.
Jasper lived more life in those two years than many dogs do in a life time. My guess is that she came to live with Julie to get a break from some very important work in the universe. She knew she’d get the rest and love she needed from Julie, then she needed to get back to her important work. But she gave her all in those two years, to everyone she met. She loved hiking through the woods and that’s what we’d always do together when she visited me. As you can see, coiffed little city girl would let loose in the woods! It was such a joy to have her with us. She was a bundle of pure joy. You must click on her photo to get a closer look at this amazing dog.
