Tree of Life

I am so very fascinated with this bubble and the reflection therein.  I can see the entire universe in that bubble.  It contains the tree of life.

The Tree of Life symbolizes the relatedness of ALL.

Every part of the universe contains every part of the universe, down to the tiniest quark.  I contain every part.  You contain every part.  We contain each other.  We are reflections of one another.  We are one.  Yes, you are one with Obama and Bush.  I am one with Rush Limbaugh and Bill Maher.  We are one with the birds of the air and the fish of the sea.  We are one with the oil spill in the Gulf and the earthquake victims in Haiti.

IMG 5506 2 214x300 Tree of LifeWe are one.

We are one.

We are one.

When I recognize my oneness with all of life, my response to life changes.  My response is more intimate and I recognize that I am accountable.  I am responsible.  I must step up to my responsibility.  If not I then who?

Yes, you!  You must step up, too.  We must step up together.

There is no “us against them” because there is no them.  There is only One.

Imagine everyone stepping up and taking responsibility for ALL.

I would love to hear your thoughts and imaginings below.

YES! I am reading “Oneness” by Rasha and it is a reminder and an affirmation of all I’ve read and followed for the last 20 years. I began to wonder at times if I was delusional since nothing seemed to be transforming as foretold and no one else “out there” seemed to be taking responsibility for, or even aware of, the exploitation of our earth, its blessed creatures, and our own health and wellbeing. Then I realized I AM responsible and I AM empowered to make choices in “right relation” to ALL, and I AM One with ALL and therefore ALL is transforming when I take responsibility for MY choices. Thank you for affirming this empowering concept that I grasp intellectually but can’t yet always completely embody and live.

I think about the relatedness of all a lot. Lately I’ve been thinking about it in the context of death and what happens to us when we die. It’s hard for me to avoid the terror of the loss of self, mine or anyone else, but if we are all One, then do we really die? We seem to be transformed, somehow, but aren’t we always being literally transformed in every moment? Why are we coded with this illusion of separateness? Is this illusion what leads to conflict and resistance and destruction and fear of death?

The call to responsibility, to be shared by all, is welcome. I usually feel like I am responsible for everything and that I’m destined to fail to hold up the world. It gives me profound anxiety. I know it’s a misplaced sense of responsibility but there it is.
