It does have a way of just welling up, doesn’t it? Wonderful post, so happy for you in your ability to find real gratitude now. Prayers and loving thoughts for you and your father. Horse energy is marvelous! I was fortunate enough to live on a horse farm for a while once. The horses made getting up in the morning so wonderful, the smell of hay and yes, horse manure (it does not smell like other animal’s manure, especially carnivores! been there, scooped that! in a large kennel) and warm, grass-scented horse breath blowing on you when it’s a bit chilly in the early morning is just so lovely. I miss that. Even the stallion screaming sometimes. Beautiful creatures and powerful. I am happy for you living in that beauty! Need to get the info from you some day about where to find caretaking jobs, that you mentioned once. Perhaps something I need to seriously consider.
