Thank you for your kind words.Jen, thank you for your continued support and affirmation. I see you the same way! I appreciate your thoughts.Joan, thank you for your support and kind, thoughtful words, as well. I do love the horses. Last night, I dreamed that I was flying beside a horse. I clearly wasn't used to it and was a tad uncomfortable but the horse was fully enjoying it and was a comfort beside me.

Thank you, friends.

Cara’s Mom, you made me smile, and I felt immediate affection for you when you addressed yourself in that way. I really like that Rumi poem. It reminds me that we are far more than ideas, and also that we are all together in Oneness. It reminds me that animals tend to think in pictures and colors and feelings and smells and sensations, and that I can take a break from word language if I listen for what they have to share with me/us/All.
It is a very special thing to have the skills and the necessary physical vigor to care for horses. I know it takes a lot of work because I lived on a horse farm years ago for a short while. How awesome you can do this important work near your father at this time, and how beautiful a place you are in. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the gorgeous picture.

I agree with Cara’s Mom, and with Jen. And I love that you aspire to being a kind, authentic person of integrity... that's what I aspire to as well! To me, you are already there in that place of kindness, authenticity, and integrity.Back when I was much more of an academic (to use a label laden with both positive and negative associations for me!) I had explored in more detail the idea that language actually creates meaning. It blew my mind. I love language and yet I struggle with it constantly because it feels both incredibly powerful and also limiting. It illuminated for me, though, that I'm usually trying to use language as a tool to lessen the distance between me and others, and sometimes I just end up feeling the distance more.I love that your blog has both words and photos. The photos transcend the limitations of language in such a magical way. That shot of Hot Shot is enchanting.

I love that Rumi poem so much.
