Do you know what I’ll miss the most about living in the northeast? My dear friends, Bill and Karyn, whom I love. They are soul friends, heart connections, and I adore them. They have brought a warmth and companionship to our lives that I will miss and always treasure.
It has been such an incredible and unexpected gift that we should end up living only 45 minutes from these friends. They are such a joy and support—and fun! I met Karyn over a decade ago when we both lived in NC. She moved north long before I did but we kept in touch. Then she married Bill who is native to NY, and now they live just over the border from us. We spend as much time together as possible and it is always wonderful.
Bill and Karyn are parents to Heidi, my goddog. Heidi and I absolutely adore each other. I will miss her as much as I’ll miss Karyn and Bill. I have deep sadness about leaving these dear folks, and deep gratitude for the unexpected time we’ve had together. Grief and Gratitude.
Another lesson in impermanence and nonattachment.
Cheers to you, my dear friends! Perhaps we’ll meet again in the south. Meanwhile, visits are mandatory!
Namaste.
